Backup files

Please help me!!

I have a word document (2000) and I want to set a
autorecover every 5 mins and to backup this file into a
folder called backup I have created on the network. I
tried file locations and Modify - the folder has been set
up but the file does not seem to be saving into this
folder - should I save a copy to the folder first?
