I back up my entire hard drive twice a week using the
built in BU with MS Windows 2000. I now need to restore
only one corrupt file. Doing all will negate my entire
days work. Any suggestions??

Open NTbackup.
Do NOT use the wizard.
Select the Restore Tab.
Select your media and expand it.
Locate the file and check it.
In advanced, always replace file.....
