Backup and Restore

I just noticed that .sh files aren't being backed up by the Backup and
Restore Centre.
I've checked the registry key associated with excluding files (it doesn't
list any specific file extentions), and the built in help just says "program
files".

1. Is there a definitive list of file extensions that aren't backed up?
2. How do I force include files I want backed up?

Thanks

Paul

The choice of which files are part of a category is based on three aspects:
registered applications, file extensions, and MIME types. Therefore there
isn’t a fixed list that would apply for all users/machines. Since .sh files
are considered executables, they aren't backed up, and there is no way to
specify that they are backed up.

The one workaround I can offer you is to zip those files and make sure you
choose the Compressed Files category.

We've heard plenty of feedback about the types of files excluded from
backup, and we are looking at ways to improve the backup experience in later
versions.
