Backup and Restore

I've recently sent in my laptop for repair. The HD was toast. I backed up to an external USB drive and would now like to restore. The service center used the recovery disks to reload XP. I cannot find restore (or backup) under the System Tools menu within Accessories. How do I restore?
 
Does the software you used for backup not have restore capability?

Therein lies the problem. When I sent in the notebook the HD was replaced. When it came back, the software used to create the backup was not there. When I did the backup, I checked out the process by which the restore would be done. It seemed really clear and friendly; sure wish it was still here.
