Hello!

Could you tell me if the files that I have deleted from my hard drive using
simple delete command, are recoverable from a restored backup or a hard drive
copy.
For example if I delete a file, but copy the HDD to a new HDD and I try to
recover the deleted file with special file recovery tools (Data Recovery or
such) would that work?

Best regards,

As I understand this trying to recover deleted files off the original HD
will work with "special"(expensive) software.
But not off the copy..............
The files are never really "erased" off the HD but at the same time they are
not copied over to a new HD.

The short answer is no. HDD copy/backup programs see deleted files as
open space, which doesn't get copied.

The other replies are correct. On the HDD when a file is "deleted" what
actually happens is that the space that the file occupies is simply freed up
to be written over. So the file will be there until such times as you defrag
or the space gets used by another file or app. As it no longer exists in the
Master File Table then it won't be seen as availabe to transfer. I'm afraid
you are out of luck. TTFN.
