Chris

I have two servers, windows 2000 fileserver and a
exchange server. I want everything on these servers to be
backed up. I dont want to use the backup in win2000
either. Could you please tell me a decent program that
will do the job for me. send me a weblink!

Cheers

Do a google search for backup software and you'll find a lot of them.
Personally I use ntbackup and for my needs it's sufficient.

Chris,

Along with what Jimmy suggested I might suggest Veritas Backup Exec. It is
a pretty good software application. It is a bit more difficult than
NTBackup ( and I will not even speak to the cost difference!!! ). They do
have a nice news group for support as well as a helpful Knowledge Base ( but
at times a bit difficult to navigate ).

Note that if you go with a third party backup app, you must buy their
Exchange agent as well for online Exchange backups.

What's your objection to sweet little NTBackup? I use it all the time & it's
been fine...

Unless they've changed their pricing, they will be VERY expensive for
two servers and an Exchange Server! And I think you are being polite
when you say that their KB is "a bit difficult to navigate"! And
getting license details changed (if your firm is, for example, taken
over), is a nightmare!

The **actual software** is great, though. Didn't miss a beat all the
time I was using it.

Cheers,

Cliff
