I have reviewed the instructions from MS on how to back up my Outlook files
and it's suggesting I also back up my Favorites, which I agree. When I do a
file search for *.fav, nothing shows up. I know I have favorites, tons of
them and very important ones for research. I've done a full back up of
Outlook as a whole, wouldn't this include Favorites? The instructions
suggest I look for "<Profile Name>.fav", but I am not sure what my Profile
Name is? How to I find that out?
This is a home network and everyone (two PC's) is listed as an
administrator, running Win2000 and Office 2002. I've tried doing the *.fav
search as the adminstrator too, with no luck. Oh, and there is only one user
for the Outlook browser I am trying to back up. Everyone else on the network
uses Outlook Express--kids and husband and on the "other" computer. If that
helps.
My biggest fear is loosing my emails both old and new and I believe I've got
those done correctly.
Thank you!
