I want to back up files to a CD each week just in case my computer goes

list of files each time.

I cannot seem to find any info in help.

Thanks in advance

Hi John,

WinXP's native backup utility doesn't support writing to CD's, so you can't
schedule it to do that. You would need to use a third party backup program
that does support it.

Hi John,

No particular suggestions, you will find some reviews of the available
software here: http://www.cdrfaq.org

Personally, I use imaging software and a differential backup scheme.

Acronis True Image does work under SP2. However, I had to uninstall and
reinstall it, using the latest patch from Acronis, to get it to work
properly. This is with TI 7; I have not updated to Ver 8, which may not have
this problem.

FWIW, TI is terrific. Very easy to use, and it backs up all files, including
files open in Windows. It can back up to a single compressed file, or can
break up the backup file into chunks of, say, 650 megs, to fit on CDs or
other media.

Thank you for the feedback. I think I will try version 8.0.

I am now looking for a decent price.

You can get a boxed version from http://www.computrolley.com
Cost is £25.52 plus VAT £4.47 plus shipping £5 Total £34.99
Or download from other sites
I tried Amazon but they didn't have it. Version 8.0 is fairly new and you
may have difficulty in finding an alternative suppplier
