Background Sound menu grayed out

In FP2000, I want to play a midi file when the page is opened. Right click
on page, page properties General, and the menu section in the middle for
Background Sound is grayed out. Any ideas? thanks,

Open Front Page and go to:

Tools | Page Options | Compatibility |
Set browsers to custom | Custom | and check all the boxes
