Hello everybody. Thanks for reading my question.

To that end, my problmem is that my background does not cover my entire
display screen. I've tried different wallpaper with no success. I've also
changed the screen resolution and this doesn't work either. However, I
really like 800 by 600 pixels, and so, would wish to solve the problem
without changing the resolution. Thank you very much for your consideration.

John

P.S. Moving the taskbar around doesn't help either. And the monitor
dimensions are 16" by 14", of which the actual screen, including almost an
inch of black space, is 12¾" across. Finally, there is roughly ¼" of black
space under the taskbar.

How about changing the settings on the monitor. The Horizonal Width and Vertical Height
controls will bring the viewing screen to the edge of the monitor.

Unless you have poor eyesight, 1024x768 or higher graphics resolution is suggested.

Thanks for the help. But changing the "H-size" totally distorted the text on
the screen. Now I want to go back. Do you have any idea what factory default
for H-size is? Must be somewhere between 50 and 60. V-size default is 51, of
whatever help that may be.

Scroll down the OSD of the monitor and select Memory Recall if it
exists. Otherwise just adjust to suit taste.

Arbitrary numbers thay are meaningless.
Adjusting the monitor is the only way to get rid of the black space around the screen view.

Adjust picture to fill screen; reboot?
