I am running virtual PC for a software demo video I am
creating and IE won't display background images or css
tags. I had adjusted my font size, etc to get the font
easily readible on video, but in the process IE stopped
displaying background images and css formatted text. I
have since reset my accessibility settings back to their
defaults as well as IEs advanced settings and set my
resolution back to normal, but it has not helped.

For clarification, IE currently displays images but not
background images. This occurance is not limited to a
specific webpage.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help,
-John

SYMPTOM
When you attempt to view a Web page that has a background color or background image, the background is not displayed and a white background is displayed instead.
CAUS
This behavior can occur if you click to select the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box.
RESOLUTIO
To resolve this behavior, click to clear the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box:
Click Start, point to Settings, and then Control Panel
Double-click Internet Options
On the General tab, click Accessibility
Click to clear the Ignore colors specified on Web pages check box
Click OK, and then OK

It worked!!! Post if it worked for you

Didn't work for me. I have those boxes cleared and I still can't see certain colors. For example the web color references on WebMonkey, W3Schools, etc don't show up at all

Seems a lot of folks are having color and font size issues with IE6. I wish Microsoft would offer a solution on the newsgroups.
