Backdoor.Imiserv virus

A few days ago Norton AntiVirus 2003 detected the Backdoor.Imiserv virus on
my winxp pro machine and I cannot seem to clean it off. I went to
symantec.com and followed all instructions but can't remove it. Any ideas?
