Backdoor HackerDefender Virus

I have a Backdoor.hackerdefender on my Windows XP laptop.
Norton keeps deleting a hxdefdrv.sys file but it returns
on reboot.

How can I get rid of this for good?

Please help!

try to go to regedit and remove that name from anything

that comes up
you may have to get the removal tool from symantec to
remove it for good, even though it is found it doesn't
always remove it for good
