My Version of XP Home Office does not have a Back-Up
program. Is there a free update which might include a
Back-Up program? Or should I buy the Upgrade to Home
Office.?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're referring to Office XP (Word, Excel, etc), not Windows XP Home,
that does not include a backup.

Some OEM versions of XP Home do not include the Windows backup utility. If
it *is* included, the XP Home setup, by default, does not install it. You
have to look for it on the CD and install it after the fact.

It is the same as the utility with Windows XP Pro. It can only write to
floppies or tape drives, not to CD.

In any case, there are *much* better backup utilities available. I've had
good results with Avantrix Backup Plus, and you can also get the 'full'
version of the MS backup utility (IIRC, it's now sold as BackupMyPC).

Youre mixing up two things XP home and Office are two
different things. And your last question doesnt make any
sense

XP Home Office? There is no product by that name. There is Windows XP Home Edition, and there is XP Office.

Assuming that you are asking about backup in XP Home, backup is installed automatically on XP Professional, but not on XP Home. If you have the complete XP Home CD, find backup on the CD, in \ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and install it yourself.
