Hi Carey,
Is there some way to back up files on a PC that's hung up in the Recovery
program?
I have a 3 year old HP (which has the recovery feature on the hard drive and
no recovery discs). I picked up a virus and tried to use the recovery
feature - the one that does NOT lose files. I thought I could use this
feature, then transfer the files to my laptop PC with a USB cable, then use
the full recovery feature on the desktop.
The desktop made it through the recovery until the last screen - the one
that has the button that says "finish" and the obnoxious little old man who
tells you everything you already know standing on top of it. I hit finish
and get the hour glass and some dramatic music and nothing happens. The
cursor still moves, but I had to hold down the on/off button to exit. When I
reboot, the PC returns to this page and the little man and the boring music.
Is there some way to transfer the files to the laptop then run a full
recovery on the desktop?
