Dear Experts,
i followed the instructions to install the backup program from XP home
edition. i have a 160GB external drive and connected to the program. i ran it
and it only copied 4gb, saying that that 4gb is the limit for the program to
copy files. as i take lots of digital pictures i have about 40 gb on my
computer and cant find a free and easy to use backup program.

anyway to get around this 4gb limit, or any freeware suggestions for easy to
use backup software - any help greatly appreciated!

The 4GB limit is due to your external drive being formatted in FAT32. You
need to convert it to NTFS

Merlin, thanks for the advice. any idea how to convert my western digital
external hard drive into the NTFS from FAT - without deleting all that i have
in it!

thanks
