I need to reformat my O/S and not sure on how to back up all my outlook
folders. I did this once before and only part of the folders backed up the
ones I created did not what is the proper procedure to back all

Couple of things to add....
Firstly, the .pst file is not enough for a complete restore as there
are other functions of Outlook that are not saved in the file.

However, I suggest you use the personal folders backup tool and when
you have reinstalled outlook (which will create a blank .pst file),
simply import from the backup. Here is the link to download the tool:

I might mention a couple of other things that you should consider:
1. Rules
There is a function if you open >Rules and Alerts>Options>Export Rules
and then import them later. However, this is rarely sucessful in each
time i have attempted it. At least the list of rules is there but I
always seem to have to re-establish the folders

2. Microsoft Office 2003 Save My Settings Wizard
This is part of 2003 and you can find it >START>ALL PROGRAMS>MICROSOFT
OFFICE>MOCROSOFT OFFICE TOOLS>
I dont know what it does as the few times I have used it, it doesnt
seem to have any effect.

But there they are anyway. Perhaps you will have more luck than me!
