there are two free utilities that you can search on google. one is gspot
which enables you to tell which format is needed to play a audio/video file
and another is sherlock (www.updatexp.com) which shows you the codecs
installed on your system. so analyse which codec to play your file is needed
and is it missing . then you can install that codec from any famous free
codec pack like k-lite codec pack
