avi player

Am looking for a free avi player with a small footprint. I have a Dell
player and Windows Media player but neither one consistently plays avi's
despite my efforts to install proper codecs. WMP is set up to automatically
download codecs but fails most of the time even when I allow it past my
Firewall. Any recommendations?
