avi files

I edited video clips with Windows Movie Maker. Then I
save the edited clip to my Hard Drive -- I select save as
NTSC avi.

I can playback the avi file with Windows Media Player.
However, when I import this avi file to a DV-Gate or
Click-to-DVD programs (Sony VAIO PC pre-installed
programs), I can see the video but there is no audio.

Anyone has this experience?

Any recommendations?
