I have the same problem but I am using AVG6 Free edition so I was not able
to email for support. If you have purchased AVG then I think you will be
able to email them for answers.

Na! it was OK but I changed or installed something weeks ago and it doesn't
seem to matter what boxes/drop downs I check or look at I can't make it sign
an certify an e-mail.

Tells you how to do it in the help files. The procedure is different for Outlook and Outlook Express plugins. SMTP works but NNTP does not.

Newsgroup (NNTP) message certification is not working yet though. And it states that when you set up the email scanner.

Running AVG 7.0 can't seem to get it to certify my outgoing mails.

TIA.

From another forum ...

I did the update today with no problems. However, I'm getting the
updates form www.grisoft.com and not the cz address. Thanks to someone
else on this forum I replaced the text in my url.ini file ( In your
grisoft folder or wherever you have AVG installed.)
Save your old file as url.old and create a new file in notepad with
this:

[SERVER_NAME]
1=free.grisoft.cz
2=ftp.grisoft.com
3=www.grisoft.com

[SERVER_URL]
1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe
2=ftp.grisoft.com/pub/softw/60/fe/
3=http://www.grisoft.com/softw/60/fe/
Actual URL=3

When you restart AVG you'll have three choices to download from
instead of the default one.

This has worked really well for me and thanks to whoever it was that
originally posted this.

traxless,

Thank you for this info! It works great. I thought there must be another
site for AVG updates but could not find it.

Thanks again, David

Launch control center, click on E-mail scanner. click on configure,
and on E-mail scanner tick 'certify incoming mail' and 'certify
outgoing mail.'

Good luck
