Mike,

It does seem unlikely that you have run out of memory, although 512mb is not
large foran XP pro system and you have the resources of the page file also
available. Take a look in the Task Manager by right clicking ont he extreme
right end of the task bar and open the performance tab. You will see what
its available. Porbably it is not a memory problem at all: this is a message
the office popsup when it has an error that it cannot diagnose exactly.

Tell us waht is the moel of your printer and may be we can help.

I am working with a simple Excel worksheet, which has grown to about 1.8mb in
size. Today for the first time, I am not allowed to print. One of the
reasons given is that I may be low on memory. I have checked everything else.

Where do I go to check available memory? I have 512mb, so I find it
difficult to believe that I would ever have memory issues running basic
Office applications.

Thanks in advance

Low memory could be the printer side. To check memory right click 'My
Computer' then choose properties.

The memory of your spooler is probably 1mb, thus 1.8mb is in excess of it and
your printer cannot handle it. You can split the document in half (if
possible) by name it xxxx(1).xxx and xxxx(2).xxx and send them to the printer
one at a time to print. If you have a 1.8mb document and want to print it,
make sure you have enough ink on hand to do that. More answers at below
