Every time I start Windows XP also my windows explorer starts. I have looked in The startupdirectories of document and settings, but there is no shortcut to explorer.exe. I have looked in msconfig, but in the startupsection there is also no explorer. What can I do to prevent the start of explorer?

.
check to see what home page it goes to. if it is not one
you picked, you might have spyware. If so get spybot s&d.
It is free,(just do a search for it).

Dear Brian
Thank you for your suggestion. I have downloaded spybot and I had it remove some trash. My IE starts with my startpage. Windows explorer still starts by itsself
