autoplay

Hello from Steved

I decided to reformat my hard Drive to have a clean
instal of windows xp sp2

I used to be able to put my restore CD in my drive and it
would come up with a screen with the words Restore.

Now when I put in my CD a dialog box comes up with the
name Autoplay, and runs through all the files but when
finished nothing happens.My question how can I get my
computer to display the Restore screen as before I
reformated my Hard Drive.

explore the disk (rightclick drive in explorer) and look at autorun.inf in
notepad to see what command you should run

OPEN=SETUP.EXE
ICON=SETUP.EXE,0

Is the above what I am looking for to make the Compaq CD
installation disk run, If so what sdo I need to do so
that when I put the disk in the CD player it runs
Automatically.

rightclick the drive icon in My Computer, and click Properties. The tab for
that sets the default action.

Okay I did that and found it now opens the explore, but I
am getting their.
