Hello,

I have a client that is using XPe and RDP 5.2. The customer wants to
automate the procedure and when the pc boots up we already have it
automatically logging into windows xpe and in the startup is RDP and that
comes up. What it sits at is the part where you have to click connect. Is
there a registry entry that can be put in so it will automatically startup?
Or something else that will allow this to connect without clicking the word
connect?

Thanks,

Debbie Giuliano

Debbie,

You can just launch an RDP file that you prepare and save on your image (or even on XP Pro machine). Just make sure to add the file
to your configuration and properly launch it at run time (Run registry key or StartUp item depending on what shell you've got in
your image).

in the Remote Desktop connection dialogue, you can save a connection that
you configure (EG. \\superserver) and put all the logon settings and
password information in. Save that connection somewhere on the device(it
saves as filename.rdp) and then you can call that in your startup session,
or using a startup command in the registry. when that .rdp file is called,
it will automatically launch the client and automatically connect to the
remote computer, provided it's there.

HTH,
JC
