Automatically Playing Movies in Powerpoint 97

I want my videos to play automatically, as soon as the slide appears. Is there anyway to do this, short of using action buttons. If not, how would I then use action buttons?
 
After you insert a movie using Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie from File,
go to Slide Show > Custom Animation. Under the Timing tab, click on Animate
and then select automatically.
