automatically numbering interrogatories and requests for productio

I need to automatically number both interrogatories and requests for
production that are contained in a single document. For the rogs I use the
endnote feature and edit the appearance of the number that appears in the
body of the rog. How do insert numbers into the requests for production??

I also need to be able to adjust the number at which automatic numbering
begins.

Personally, I'd set up two separate styles, each associated with a numbering
format, and apply them as appropriate. The start number can be set as part of
the style.
