I've got a problem with an XP computer here at the office that our tech
can't figure out.

Right after I log into the domain, it logs me out - no error message - I
just get the login screen again.

Any ideas?

This usually indicates a corrupted user profile.

Can other people log in on that machine using domain accounts?
Have you logged into that machine inthe past using your domain account?

Basically, I'd log in as Administrator and re-name away your old user
profile then try to log in as yourself again. Then copy over what you can
from the old profile.

Nope - even administrators can't log in directly.
The same thing happens

Can you log on using the local machine Administrator account?
That profile should already exist.

And what about my other question regarding whether you had sucessfully
logged in in the past on that machine?

( I'm trying to determine if it's trying to load an existing profile, or it
is trying to create a new one when it bombs out. It could be the Default
Profile is corrupted, so attempts to create a new user profile based on it
causes the problem. Loading an existing profile created before the
corruption may work OK. )
