that it has fully downloaded what will happen if i try to install sp2 and it
hasnt fully downloaded or how can i cancle it out so that i can use the sp2
cd to install sp2 ?

how i know that AU didnt fully download sp2 is that i not meaning to turned
off AU and when i turned it back on it said that it is ready to install sp2
what i want to do is cancle the AU download so that when i do install sp2
from cd i can still use AU to get future updates .

Hi

SP2 shouldn't install until the download has been completed. Why do you
think the download hasn't been completed?

Double click on My Computer or go to Start/All Programs/Accessories or hit
the Windows key on your keyboard combined with the letter "E" are some ways
to open it. Windows should be on the C drive.

Hi

This is what you should do:

Disable Automatic Updates.
Clean out the Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder
Install SP2 from the CD.
Enable Automatic Updates again.

For folders you can consider deleting and other disk cleanup tips
after a successful SP2 installation, take a look here:
