Windows Automatic Updates becomes disabled when I shut down my computer. I
run services.msc to enabled it upon start-up, but is getting annoying. Any
quick fixes out there?

In Services, check the "Startup Type" of "Automatic Updates" and set it to
"Automatic". Moreover, right-click on My Computer - choose Properties - click
Automatic Updates tab and set it to Automatic (recommended).

Hope this information helps you, let us know!

No such luck - the Automatic tab has been activated the entire time. Applying
it again reactivates the Automatic updates, but it comes up deactivated most
of the times when I restart and always when I start up for the 1st time on a
new day.
