Automatic Updates

My autmatic windows update used to work and now it
doesnt. If i right click my computer and go to
properties and click on the tab Automatic updates its
still there but all of the options under it are grayed
out. Ive looked at the troubleshooter at the update site
but nothing ith my problem.
