Automatic updates nuisance

Even though I have already installed certain updates, Windows keeps saying
that these same updates are ready for downloading. How can I get shot of
this?

I changed the first option 'automatically download and install' and change
it to 'Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them' Ir's
made no difference!
