Automatic update annoyance

I'm sure I'm not the first person to be annoyed by the stupid reminder (post
SP2) that says that Automatic Update is disabled every time that I login.
Is there any way to stop this message? TIA!

Have you tried looking round Control Panel/Security Center?

Go into Conrol Panel / Security Center then on the left side click on
Change the way Security Center alerts me and uncheck the Automatic Updates.
 
It can turned off by going to security center and on the left side of
windows click "change the security center alerts me" then uncheck "Automatic
Updates"
