What is the easist way to set a word to be automatically typed using only 2
or 3 characters?

Thanks for your quick response. Can you explain to me just how this is done
please? I'm kind of confused on this.

Check Word's help. For help with moving / sharing your definitions once
you've defined them, see

Write the text
Select it
Tools > autocorrect options
The selected text will be already placed. Add a shortcut sequence to call it
and choose whether you want the entry formatted or not. If the text is
supposed to adapt to the document you will not want it formatted. If you
want to include graphics, tables etc you will.
Type the shortcut and the text will be entered.
