Automatic text resizing

Is there a way to format the title text of a slide to resize automatically
like it does in the body of the text when there is more wording added than
the text box can accomodate?
The title text is currently fixed at a certain size and I would like it to
resize (at least once) automatically based on the amount of text that is
entered in that space.

Thanks!

In tools > auto correct options > Auto format as you type tick "auto fit
text to title placeholder" and you may need to also select the placeholder
and turn off resize autoshape to fit text in format > placeholder > text box
.. It should size down once then probably by 4 points.

I don't think these options are available in the 2000 version-is my
assumption correct? Then I will also assume that this can't be done unless
the version is upgraded to at least 2003...

Yes and no. In PPT 2000, the option hides in Tools, Options, Edit but it only
applies to the Text placeholder, not the title placeholder.

Thank you-this answers my question! Our company intends on updating to 2003
later this year, so at least I know that this feature is something that is
available when that happens.
