Automatic send receive not working

Hi

My settings are all as they should be with regards the send immediatly when
connected being ticked for all accounts, but mail just wont automatically be
sent or recieved in outlook xp i have installed the latest service pack, but
still no joy. Any ideas?

Do you have a send/receive interval defined? For OL 2002/2003, see
Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Receive or press ALT-CTRL-S

Yes I have this set to 1 minute but the mail still doesn't send or recieve

One minute is way too low. Try setting the value to no less than five
minutes and preferably ten.

This has made no difference, the messages used to go automatically as in
straight away, until i added an Exchange mailbox, which I have now removed
