Is there a way to generate automatic replies (similar to
out of office assistant) to senders of email who do not
reside on our Exchange Server. I would like to
automatically reply to senders of resumes to
our "jobs@___" email account. Using the rules only
generates replies to profiles on our exchange server.

You can ask the Exchange admin to allow replies and forward to the Internet
but this is off by default for a good reason. Ask anyone who has had their
entire organization brought down by a nasty mail loop.

You can use rules wizard to set up an automatic reply using a template if
you are energetic enough to configure it.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the SWEN virus, all mail sent to my personal account will be deleted
without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Jackie asked:
