Automatic pop-up ads

Every time I open up IE6 using a non-ad homepage, a pop-
up ad comes on. Could I have accidentally downloaded some
sort of pop-up application that feeds ads into the
browser once I get online? I've tried using a pop-up
blocker, but I'd like to remove this thing, if possible.

Install either but both are not necessary, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use
online update feature to obtain the latest reference files, scan for Spyware
much like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
Rid your machine of unwanted Spyware pests.

Try Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Reset WEb
Settings and restart IE. This solved my problem. BTW,
what site did the popup lead you to? was it a gambling
www.entercasino.com site?
