Dear all,

In OL 2003, the automatic name checking is very fast, If I type a letter in
the To coloum will give you all the email name which starts with that letter
- Very good,
Can I have the same feature in OLXP, In OLXP there is an automatic name
checking but not same as OL03. Is there any way to have that?(I mean same as
03)

Regards
Anver

Hi Anver,

It's (quite) the same. Note that it only autocompletes for previously used
addesses (suggest from cache). How do you see it behave differently/slower?

Outlook 2002 has the same feature. It is not invoked until after you type in
3 letters.

Hi Roady,
It is nice to hear from you after a gap.
Well it seems the automatic name checking is slow and bit different aswell.
why I am sticking on this because in OL03 If I type a letter A in the To box
it will list you all of the previous used address which starts with that
letter. But in OLXP is not..

Pls advise

Hi Anver,

Yeah, it's been a while. Means you're doing fine without assistance ;-)

Read the remark from Russ? In Outlook 2002 it is not unvoked until you type
in 3 letters.

Only that's not automatic name checking. Automatic name checking is when
you enter at least three characters of the name and then tab out of the
field, Outlook either resolves the name from your Contacts folder or
underlines it in red, allowing you to click on it and choose a resolution
for yourself.
