When it rains it pours...another Outlook issue!

Running XP at home and have been using Automatic Name Checking (not Suggest
Name) forever. Now all of a sudden even with the option checked, it no
longer gives me email addresses at all. It just stays the way I typed and
opens the address book to choose a name when I send.

I haven't changed anything in Outlook in months. Any suggestions??

Thanks!!

Sounds like something reset your NK2 cache. You're sure you changed nothing?
What happens when you resolve a name manually?

If I type in a partial name, it will do nothing until I hit send. If
I hit send and there is only one name that matches (say I only have
one Russ in the address book), it will resolve on sending to that
email account. If I have multiple matches, it prompts for the correct
email address. I don't get my options anymore and nothing fills in
automatically anymore.

I have not changed any settings in Outlook in months. I don't even
think I have changed any customizations recently. Maybe changed some
views, but nothing I can think of that would affect anything with the
application.

I have had Outlook crash a few times recently trying to open some
large pdf files (similar problems trying to create them in Word).
Could that be it?

Let me make sure I understand. You're saying that you do not get any
autoresolution when you Tab out of the "To:" field? And when autoresolution
is invoked by hitting "Send" you get no list of possible matches?

Odd. I assume you have Automatic Name checking enabled.
Have you tried removing and re-adding your Outlook Address Book Service?
