I have a user that has the following issue. During the day, Outlook suggests
names when typing in the boxes above. But the next morning after logging off
the previous night, it does not remember what names she used the previous
day. It has to develop the memory again during the day and then loses it
again during the night. She is using Outlook 2002.

It sounds like she may have a corrupt Profile file or possibly a corrupt NK2
file. If it is the profile, create a new one with a different name. This
will also create a new NK2 file. The NK2 (autocomplete) file is where the
autocomplete information is stored. We wrote a utility that will let you
open and edit that file if you're interested in peering inside of this file.
It can be found at www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. It's call Owtlook. If
she has hundreds of contacts, you can export the contents (after purchasing
the product) and import that information into a contact folder so it will
not be lost forever.

If you want me to look at her NK2 file, send it to the sales address at the
domain above, I can look at it and tell you if it is corrupted or not. We
have discovered that even if a user cannot open the file, we usually still
can because our version of the software does not rely on the Profile in
order to open it.

Good luck,

Randy
