Automatic Formatting problem

For some reason I can't get Outlook inbox color
formatting to work the way I want. I'm trying to color
code my email based on my roles. To do this I need to
display email in a certain color depending on the email
account it comes in through. I would expect that I would
select "Organize" from the "Tools" menu, then
select "Using Colors" & "Automatic Formatting". I then
add a rule which I call "Personal Mail" and change the
Font color blue. Then I click on Condition, click on the
Advanced tab to create the following rule:

E-Mail Account is (exactly) (e-mail address removed)

The email address being the account I want color coded.
For some reason the effect I get is black text, it just
wont work. This also happens if I use "contains" rather
than "is (exactly)". Oddly enough, if I create a similar
rule based on the To field containing the email address,
it works great. Problem is, if it contains the name (Bill
Jones) rather than the email address ([email protected]) it
wont work. I even disabled all rules except this one to
verify there wasn't a conflict.

Any ideas why this wont work?
Thanks in advance,
SeanD

What happens if you just click on Organize > Using Colors, then just select
"Color messages sent to (type your email address)" and select the color you
want?

Using your example, it works fine as long as the email
address is displayed in the To field. If it displays a
name, then it doesn't work.

As an example, Bill Jones has an an email address
(e-mail address removed). Email coming into through this account
can display "(e-mail address removed)", or it can display "Bill
Jones" depending on how the sender addressed it.

If you have 3 different email accounts, "Bill Jones" can
actually be 3 different email accounts. So you would wind
up with 4 colors - 3 email accounts + "Bill Jones" -
though only 3 accounts existed.

Thats why I tried to use the Email Account field in the
Advanced tab of Automatic Formatting. It would appear to
be straightforward, but I can't get it to work. I haven't
been able to turn anything up, except vague references to
it working. This is driving me nuts.
