Hi, I would like to send an automated email reply to
people that complete a form on my website.

At the moment the forms are sent to me
from'webuser@mysite' so I cannot set up an automated reply
through outlook - or can I?????

Ray.

Contact your host to see if they can set up an autoresponder on the mail
server.

Hi,
Howdy.

I would like to send an automated email reply to
people that complete a form on my website.

At the moment the forms are sent to me
from'webuser@mysite' so I cannot set up an automated
reply through outlook - or can I?????

1. Right-click the form and choose Form Properties.
2. I presume Send To File Name E-Mail Address is
selected.
3. Click the Options button, and then then the
E-Mail results tab.
4. Under Reply-To Line, make sure Form Field Name is
checked. Then, in the accompanying text box, enter
the name of the form field where the visitor types
his or her e-mail address.
5. Click OK and OK.

After you do this and publish your change, mail will still
be "from" webuser@mysite, but when you click the Reply
button in Outlook, the addresse will be the contents of
the field from step 4.

Your ISP may be able to set up an autoresponder that sends
confirmation mail automatically. Just be sure to use a
special email address for this purpose only. (No need to
send grandma a "Thank You For Your Order" message every
time she write you about the family.)

Yes, you can auto-reply if you set up a message rule in Outlook Express.

Tools menu, Message Rules item, Select "Mail", New Rule,

Choose from "Where Message is From" or Subject Line contains" and so on - to suit
you.

If your form has a static subjectr line then set up the filter to be "Where
Subject Line contains" Web Site Feedback (for example)

then choose the action : Reply with Message.

Then type your reply message.

this is the only functionallity I can think of in Outlook Express that could be
what you want. otherwise, i don't know of any other solution.
