Automatic "date type" recognition

Hello everyone!

I am trying to convert text into columns, but some of the
data looks like as if it was in time/date format (for
example, "32:21") but it is NOT time/date data. How can I
prevent excel from automatically converting whatever such
data that I enter into time/date (decimal) format?

If you are using Data/Text to columns, the last page of the Wizard give
the option to select the data type of the column and change it to Text
