I use Outlook 2000 and cannot find how to have the "to" address automatically
complete frome my address book as I type.

It won't - it will do "autoresolve", meaning, if you type in some of the
letters, and either move to another field or hit CTRL+K or press Check
Names, it will try to look up the address in your address books...but
there's no autocomplete.

You could upgrade to OL2003 and it has a form of autocomplete, based on what
you've typed in before or people you've recevied mail from, but it doesn't
look up to the address books for resolution, either.

Lanwench,

Are you certain that OL2K3 doesn't have autoresolution AND autocomplete? I
thought otherwise.

That wasn't the issue. The issue was whether it was true that Outlook 2003
had autocomplete instead of autoresolution. It actually has both. You can
use one, both, or neither. When using both, you rarely encounter
autoresolution because autocompletion kicks in first.
