I have searched for any information of how to keep a file current on my
web page. Either my search skills are poor or this is a long overdue
feature in programs.

You are posting in a newsgroup for the Windows XP operating system, which is
the wrong place for webpage design questions. Try posting a better
description of your problem/end goal in a newsgroup or forum for either the
website software you are using or perhaps for web designers.

Your ISP probably carries newsgroups or you could look in Google Groups for
a good place to start.
