automate excel to place a period immediately following a user's name down a column

Working in Excel, how can I automate excel to place a period immediately
following a user's name down a column which consists of hundreds of users?
 
Hi Todd..........

Save your data first and use a copy for this exercize...........
Assuming your list is in column A........in B1 put this formula and copy
down.........

=A1&"."

Then copy > PasteSpecial > Values on that helper column to get rid of the
formulas, and leave you with just the names and periods in it........then
you can delete/replace your original list if you wish.....
