Wolfgang

Hi all, I have added autologon to my build to avoid the logon screen at
reboot. I'm still getting the logon screen. (In my orignal build with sp1
I did not have autologon as part of my build and was never asked for user
id or pw). Any ideas what I might need to look at?
Thanks, Wolfgang

Wolfgang,

Did you match Automatic Logon component settings to the Windows Logon component settings? (domain, user id, password)
(make sure the password is not blank)

I have matched the setting for automatic logon and windows logon with
entries in each of the fields, yet I am still presented with the ctrl alt
del to logon screen. Any ideas where else to look?
Thanks Wolfgang

Wolfgang,

Hope you matched the user id/password to the User (or Administrator) account settings you added to the configuration.

Just in case, also set the following values:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\M-icrosoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon],"ForceAutoLogon"="1"
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windo-ws NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon],"D-isableCAD"=dword:1

Also, please show us the content of the following key in your post-FBA image:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\M-icrosoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

Btw, did you set up Friendly or Classic logon in your image?
If you want the Friendly one, please also remove "Client Services for NetWare" component from and add "Friendly Logon User
Interface" component to your image.

KM

Two questions, where do I set the values for "ForceAutoLogon and
"DisableCad"?
How do I locate the content of my post-FBA image Winlogon? I don't have
regedit as part of my build.
Whenever I remove "Client Services for NetWare" component dependency check
re-adds it.
Wolfgang

You can use TD Extra Registry section or your own component.
How do I locate the content of my post-FBA image Winlogon? I don't have
regedit as part of my build.

Open offline the image registry hives (they are under \windows\system32\config) with regedit from XP Pro.

Also, you can just copy regedit.exe to your image. If the tool depenencies are there, you will be able to launch it no problem.
Whenever I remove "Client Services for NetWare" component dependency check re-adds it.

Turn off Auto Resolve dependency option in TD.

I finally went back to my starting build for this image and very selectively
added items. I did not add items like task manager, autologon, user
accounts, etc.. Now the image just boots into the os and I can autostart my
app. Thank you for you help, KM.
