autologoff after logging into a 2000 server

I have 2 windows 2k sp4 servers that are logging me off immeadiately after i
logon.

It doesnt matter if I log into Terminal Services or the Local console.

I have remotely checked for wsaupdater.exe

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit

and it is:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

I cannot get into these machines with the exception of:
remote regedit
and
managing it from another PC.

If anyone has any idea of how I can fix this I would greatly appretiate any
help.
