This is a repost which I have not successfully resolved.
I followed the steps on the MS KB Article ID : 210236
and I had success but I must be doing something wrong when entering
THE TEXT BOX because when I start new record every field is autofill. My
goal is to have 1 field autofill.
From the text box step this is what I'm doing starting at step 6 of
Article ID : 210236
1. Tool bar select text box
2. Drag rectangle box enter AutoFillNewRecordFields in the label.
3. GoTo properties of the new text box and make Visible: No on the
Format Tab
4. Goto Data Tab and enter fieldname/names in the Default Value (not on the 3
dots of the Default Value).
I believe I'm following instructions properly but I guess not so I'm looking
for
help.
TIA
My question is there anyone ;who really has this working properly. If so
maybe is there any snags that I'm missing. I have created very simple
databases to test this on and with no success.
Please help
